The instruction has helped my game

Posted by Chuck | Testimonials | Thursday 25 February 2010 7:00 pm

Hey Chuck,

Just a follow up on the golf instruction.

I can’t begin to explain how frustrating it was to watch every shot I hit pull dead left. I kind of figured that it would take numerous sessions to correct the problem. Must say that I was literally amazed that you identified the problem and showed me how to correct it in 1 simple lesson. Another thing that impressed me was “you did not tear my swing apart and rebuild it from scratch” as so many golf instructors typically do.

Wanted you to know how much the instruction has helped my game and how satisfying it is to set up and hit a shot exactly (most of the time) right where you want it.

Thank you again.
Have a great day!
Paul Wickhorst.

Chuck’s style is the best

Posted by Chuck | Testimonials | Thursday 25 February 2010 6:58 pm

I have to say that this email is long overdue but I had to comment on how pleased I am with Chuck as my private instructor.  I have been taking private lessons with Chuck for a few months now and have already seen me save some strokes.  I have been to a few instructors and I must say that Chuck’s style is the best. He is a great teacher who builds on technique and good old fashion common sense playing… he works with your capabilities and natural body movements and improves and fine tunes your basics.  So many instructors try to teach you a swing that they personally do or just use a standard  textbook swing.  However, Chuck helps you to personalize your swing that is comfortable for you based on your movement, flexibility, height, gender, etc.  Nothing is carved in stone… Most importantly, he doesn’t change a lot of things at once on you.

I always used to hear “Oh my game went south… ‘cause I just started taking lessons and my game is all messed up” WITH CHUCK AS MY INSTRUCTOR, I NEVER HAVE MADE THAT COMMENT.  I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT EVERYTIME I HAVE A LESSON, MY GAME GETS BETTER AND BETTER.  THE ULTIMATE, IS HAVING A PRIVATE LESSON WITH CHUCK ON THE ACTUAL COURSE.  I LIKE CHUCK’S THINKING THAT YOU CAN PRACTICE YOUR DRIVER ALL DAY LONG BUT IT IS IMPORTANT DEVELOPING THE RHYTHM OF TRANSITIONING FROM YOUR DRIVER TO YOUR FAIRWAY WOOD/IRONS TO YOUR PUTTER.  YOU REALLY LEARN A LOT HAVING INSTRUCTION ON THE COURSE.

I look forward to a new year of golf and lessons with Chuck.  A pro with a patient and kind philosophy towards others that makes you feel very relaxed and eager to learn.  See you at Elmridge CC  next week!!!  Can’t wait for my video analysis while playing on the course!!!!!!

Do what works for you

Posted by Chuck | Tips | Thursday 25 February 2010 3:18 am

A good routine shouldn’t take a lot of time. Exact details are less important than doing the same thing each time, your grip and stance, looking at the target, waggling the club, and taking practice swings.
